I love Final Fantasy (but not as much as Kingdom Hearts) and I'd have to say that my favorite part would have to be in Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core when Zack is trying so hard to find Angeal. I won't say anymore because it may spoil it.

Crisis Core is one of my top favorites.
I cry everytime I beat it.

Ooo! How did I miss this thread?!
Brixta... Crisis Core was AMAZING. Flippin fantastic game. I like ZackXAngeal
I've played all the games I could get my hands on, but I've missed a couple. I haven't played any of II, some of I, and I am near the end of III.
IV is awesome. It was the first FF I ever played. Mad love for Cecil... Mmm hot pallies.
V was pretty awesome too, but I first played it on a shitty ROM on my computer with poor translation, and have yet to play an official version. Mad love for the job system on that game!!!
VI is hands down my favourite FF ever. So many characters, the storyline is awesome. I am hopelessly in love with Locke. AND it has one of THE most memorable RPG moments EVAR! The opera scene.
VII was sooooooooooooooo good. I played it shortly after it came out.. and in my opinion has the best music of ANY FF game. I have my favourites from each game, but VII has the best and most memorable/recognizable. And the story line? Whew. Holy complex... and oh yeah. It has Sephiroth... and Cloud. Be still my beating heart.
VIII OH MAN I hated 8. The draw system?!?!! Ugh. Hate hate hate. The only redeeming quality this game has I think is that it had one of the best romantic stories to date. The scene with Rinoa and Squall outside the ragnarok? Amazing.
IX was pretty cool. I didn't feel overly attracted to anyone from it though but I adored Vivi.
X - I had said I'd never play it cause I heard it was linear and sucky. But my husband said I'd love it cause I'm a huge romantic. Lo and behold I watched him play it and enjoyed the story a LOT. ( Just like he said I would...)
X-2 I try to pretend this game doesn't exist, but I did like the whole idea of Yuna searching for Tidus.... but the whole game rubbed me the wrong way.
XI - well I played this game for 6 years and didn't pay a lick of attention to the story line. But Mithra FTMFW.
Moving on....
XII - VIERA! BALTHIER! Ooo sexy sexy Balthier. I wasn't overly interested in the story, but everytime Balthier and or Fran was on the screen I paid mucho attention. XD
XIII - GAH. What a beautiful game. I liked the story up until the end, then I hated the end... and that's how my fanfic was born. I LOVE SNOW VILLIERS WITH THE BURNING PASSION OF A THOUSAND SUNS! T.T I love him... love...
I absolutely love FF: Tactics. What a fantastic game. Great story, sexy characters... Mm.
I CANNOT WAIT FOR FFXIII VERSUS... Oh man. @_@
I love this thread. T.T

My older brother first introduced me to Final Fantasy with IV. Great game but difficult at times. Loved the music. Then came Final Fantasy VI. Best FF ever, in my opinion. Can't tell you how many times I went back to play it again. Yes, the opera was epic, but there were some really memorable lines too. Like Sabin's "Can anything be THAT shiny?" regarding Gau talking about the underwater helmet. And of course Ultros' "it'll take me 5 MINUTES to move this" in the opera scene when you have to stop him from sabotaging it. And Setzer was the coolest. His backstory made me cry. First time that happened in a game. And again, LOVED the music. I actually own the rare domestic release of the soundtrack, called "Kefka's Domain", as well as a T-shirt. It's beat up and has holes in it now, but I refuse to part with it. FF VII was a great game, and I cried for that one, too. But I don't think it was the greatest. Just groundbreaking for its time, and the first 3D-modeled version of an FF. VIII I absolutely hated. IX I liked, and my younger brother used a bit of the music when he put together our wedding video. Awesomeness. Took me a while to get through X, but I liked it because it was the first FF with voices. Gave new dimension to the characters. I cried at the end of that one, too. Tried X-2, don't like the whole Mission setup at all. Never played XI. (Not an MMORPGer at ALL.) I did not like XII's storyline at all. Not FF enough. But I loved the battle system. XIII was great too, and the graphics were amazing. New composer, but the music was still awesome so I had to get that soundtrack too. (I think the only soundtracks I don't have are I, II, III, X-2 and XI.) And I loved the battle system in this one too. Nice not to have random battles anymore. Characters were very lovable, but I was bugged by Hope's mom looking like Britney Spears... I've tried several times to play I, II, III and V, but never got very far, as I'm spoiled by non-random battle RPGs now.

I don't really remember if I played any before VI, but I might buy the aniversery versions to at least give them a try.
VI- I didn't mind this one. I was scared of Kefka when I was younger, but now I don't exactly mind him.
VII- I really liked this one. I wouldn't say it's my favorite but it's up there. I am in love with the music from it.
FF VII Crisis Core- LOVE THIS GAME. I hate how I know the ending but it still makes me cry. Angeal is still my favorite but it fueled my hate for Cloud. I never really liked him a whole lot to begin with but it just didn't really help me like him.
FFVII Dirge of Cerberus- I love the idea behind the game. I liked Vincent but I cannot play as him. Much like any other game where the controller weilds a gun, I struggled to play it and I'm still stuck in the same spot.
FFVIII- I didn't love it but I didn't like it. Some of the music was good but it really wasn't too awesome.
FFX- I still have yet to actually finish the game but I really didn't like it. The storyline is good but I just didn't get into it.
FFX2- I still pretend I never bought the game. However, it still sits next to number X. I played it for a few minutes and then just gave up. I like the opening to it though.
FFXII- I bought it, but I haven't played it yet.
And I still haven't gotten FFXIII. BUT I WANT IT!!!

I am going to give FF XIII the "old college try," since I'm never gonna get more of the DMC that I want to get ever again. Guess I expecting to be satisfied enough with DMC 5, but that's not gonna happen.
I did see some of it on youtube, just some of the beginning, and I thought it was a bit boring. But, that's not enough to judge it from. And, it only seemed a bit boring (and LONG)...

I played FF XIII on XBox 360. I'm curious why everyone says they can't play it because they don't have a PS3...
...unless it's assumed you don't have an XBox either? ^^

oh and HOW could I forget the kingdom hearts series??? I can't stand Kingdom Hearts primarily because of teh Disney angle. The only reason I play it is to see cameos of characters I care about... (and because the battle engine is rumoured to be similar in FFXIII Versus....)

*stares at KH thread* I still want FFXIII. My brother laughed at me cause I want it really badly. He's the one with the PS3 and XBox 360 so I depend on him for my gaming needs. I don't think he's gunna let me play it anytime soon. If I somehow got it. XD He's always holed up in his room when I'm home. The loser doesn't work weekends so I can't play the PS3. I started Crisis Core again. The tears will be coming soon.

I was all for Sony and hating Microsoft until the release of the PS3. WAAAY too expensive and over the top. My husband decided to get an XBox when he'd sworn he'd never get one, too, just because there weren't any other next-gen consoles we could afford.
Now Sony's next big thing is 3D compatability?? You mean, for all those people who have the thousands of dollars to spend on the TV to go with it? Seriously, I really wish they'd stop catering to the rich and start thinking of the average gamer. If they keep getting so far ahead of where everyone else is, they will suffer a similar fate to the TurboGrafx CD system that was out in the late 80s... (It was incredible for its time, but too expensive for most everyone, so it died out.)
I was always loyal to Nintendo, but when it comes to most of the games I like to play, the Wii just can't handle them, so I had to turn to somewhere else...
