...would you pay for a one of a kind handmade costume?
I've been approached by a few people who want a one of a kind costume made for them. I have problems charging people anything for things I've made, so I thought I may come to y'all to see what you think about it!
They'd have to pay for materials and for shipping (when applicable) but what do you think about time spent creating?
So I ask again.. what do you think you'd pay for a handmade one of a kind costume? (That is if you couldn't do it yourself and asked me to do it for you...!) lol

Hmmm...Well a costume from eBay or Amazon normally costs $150, so I'd say maybe half of that or a little more. So maybe $75. It's a good price, and it should cover material costs along with time spent on it. -shrugs- But then again, I could be way off on a good amount. XD

Ah! Good thinking! I never really thought to check out prices on websites and stuff!!
Yeah, costumes are NOT cheap! For friends, I'd definitely cut them a deal, but people I don't know personally are asking... so here comes the shrewd businesswoman! XD XD

Think about how many hours you would spend making it, and then figure how much money do you want to make per hour. Make sure what you charge isn't like slave labor wages, ya know. And, perhaps it still won't cover the cost of all the materials you have to buy to make it...
