This was, what I thought, the coolest question on my Psychology final. It's an interesting thing to think about.
Question: "What do you believe would be the WORST psychological torture, anything that involves any physical harm should not be considered?"
My answer is being in the situation described in The Pit and the Pendulum because I wouldn't know where I am and I have a constant feeling like I'm gonna die but don't know when. Also being in a Blair Witch type situation where I'm in the little building from that movie and there is a demonic spirit down stairs and I'm trapped upstairs. I feel like I would only have a few options:1) Go down stairs and end up coming face to face with this terrifying ghost.Plus I don't think I can run back up the stairs as fast as I ran down them and I'm more likely to trip and be caught. 2) I could stay up stairs and be a sitting duck. I wouldn't be able to defend my self since a ghost can hurt you but you can't hurt it(since anything w/physical harm can't be considered it is just the thought that would be the torture). 3)I could jump out the window but I risk breaking my legs and again being a sitting duck or die which is stupid since thats exactly what I'm afraid of.
How would you answer this question?

Hmmmm. That is quite the intriguing question.
Although I'm not exactly sure how I would respond to it. I'm going to give this even more thought, and perhaps I will come up with a decent response.
