Just curious.
I play the flute and baritone saxophone. And I am learning trumpet. However, it's not going well. And I'm learning piano.

I played flute through 10th grade, but that's it. I've messed around with piano, but could only play a little bit.
Still have my flute, as well as a glass flute and glass piccolo that were given to me as gifts. Being 20 years out of practice, I'm not very good with the high notes... ;D

Flute! How pretty!
I have recently picked up the guitar (and the ukulele before that...). I'm not very good, but it's fun.
I'd LOVE to learn piano!! I took lessons from my sister in law when I was in high school, but I don't have a piano so... ; ;
EDIT CAUSE I WANNA LEARN CELLO SOOOOOOO BAD!

there's kind of a weird abundance of flute players around here... i played flute in school, through college. on the side, i played soprano sax, clarinet, bassoon {one of these things is not like the others!}, some piano, and was learning guitar - but my teacher didn't want to teach me left-handed, so i quit. mostly these days i'm a singer. i would love to play again. my sister is a master flutist, and teaches at a university, and i miss it sometimes. especially when she gets to go to flute conventions and take private lessons from GREG ! PATTILLO ! *dies of the jealous* i'd also love to have the chance to play sometimes with some of my musician friends - i love flute/guitar duets, and just playing with singers. when i win the lottery, i'm totally buying another flute.

Wow. And yet I can't find any flute players here at my college. Go figure.
I want to have a Baritone Saxophone. But those things are not cheap. Even used ones aren't exactly cheap. So I might just have to try winning the lottery in a state that isn't Iowa.
I would love to play the cello. But I know it would probably kill me. Kind of like the trumpet. Well I guess technically it's a cornet but close enough.

Well I think in the music program at school, all they really offered was flute, clarinet, and trumpet. Maybe a couple others, but the pickings were slim. So I chose flute. Like I said, I still have my flute. Had to get it re-corked and re-padded and de-tarnished after lending it to a friend's daughter for school though. I don't know what happened, but the thing wouldn't play a single note until I got it repaired. Unfortunately it and the other two flutes are packed away. My husband and I are trying to sell our place, so I figured I should pack up the stuff that I likely wouldn't be using anytime soon. But all this flute talk makes me want to pick it up again...

Have you thought about renting from a local shop? I wasn't sure if I was going to stick with guitar so I am just renting one monthly! To see a sexy girl with a cello between her legs is just... perfect. XD

Well, I didn't have any local shops before but now that I'm in a bigger city for college there might be. I just have no idea where it would be.
I will have to look. I want one forever, cause it's fun to play. I just hate how heavy it is. And how it's impossible to move around in it. XD
Back when I had the choice to start band, the teacher told me I had no musical talent. No joke. He told me that. But he let me choose the flute since I was persistant about playing an instrument. I wanted to be a percussionist but he wouldn't let me. Then again, I couldn't play any of the other instruments as well. ^^'
And now I'm a music major. I still can't play half the instruments but I don't care.

Don't you just love those "encouraging" teachers? My oldest brother was told by a guidance counselor that he'd never amount to anything. Now my brother works for IBM as a team manager on hardware development or something. (I don't know his exact job.)
